Download the .dmg file, open it, and drag Soundverter to your Applications folder. On first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm since the app is from an identified developer outside the App Store.

On first launch, the app will prompt you to accept the Terms of Service and optionally download a required audio processing component. This is a one-time setup.

Once installed, sign in with your Soundverter account (or create one). Then converting audio is three steps:

Paste a URL

Copy a link from SoundCloud, Spotify, YouTube Music, or Apple Music and paste it into the input field.

Choose Your Format

Select MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, or M4A from the format picker. Each format shows whether it is lossy or lossless so you can make an informed choice.

Hit Convert

Click the Convert button. The app processes the audio locally and saves the file to your output folder with full metadata and cover art embedded.

FLAC

Uncompressed audio. Best for DJ software (Rekordbox, Serato) and production workflows where quality is paramount.

AAC / M4A

Great quality at smaller file sizes. Native to Apple devices and iTunes. M4A is the container, AAC is the codec.

Conversion speed depends on your internet connection (for fetching the source audio) and your CPU (for format conversion). Large WAV files or long playlists may take longer. Check your network connection if a conversion seems stuck.

By default, files save to your system's Downloads folder. You can change this in Settings at any time. After each conversion, the app shows the file path so you can open the folder directly.
